On May 17, 2000 during a beautiful sunset at Windy Point park on Lake Travis we became engaged. Within a week's time we set the special date for March 3, 2001. The time in between seemed to fly by! We planned and scheduled, met with photographers, and reception hall coordinators. One at a time we checked things off of our joint *to do* list.
Finally the day arrived. A gray day with non stop drizzle and rain; not a beautiful day by most standards. For us it was wonderful. After all we spend a lot of time in the water together, what a lovely way to start off our life together!
The ceremony was beautiful. God was looking down on us that day, and let us know as the clouds let the sun through the stained-glass windows as we said our vows. It only confirmed our thoughts that this marriage is truly blessed.
The Reception that followed was worth every bit of effort that we put into it. Thanks go out to so many for all their help!
