Another 8:30 AM boat dive, this time to Captain Don's Reef, a great site along the shore of Klein Bonaire. Again I'll let my logbook do the talking:
Very nice dive. 3 Brazilians joined us, all camera divers. Did a drift dive enging at South Bay - boat didn't know we were drifting, we had to signal for him - Divemaster Luis & Cap'n Eddy not communicating, we spent 10 mins floating on surface waiting after the dive.
(I gave my safety sausage to Luis, who inflated it to get the boat's attention. Divemaster does a drift dive - doesn't inform the captain, and doesn't bring a safety sausage?????)
Saw a turtle resting - the 3 Brazilians swarmed all over him, I gave up on trying to take a photo - they spooked him & he swam off tho Beth saw him later.
Green Frogfish @ 44' on a coral head surrounded by tube sponges. Brazilian lying on the coral (!) to take photos, he broke ALL the coral tubes, really flustered the Frogfish [and pissed us all off, though all the DM did was chastize him]. I only got one pic after waiting 5 mins for the Brazilians to get the hell out of the way. Poor Froggy!
Saw the South Bay Seahorse again, at the end of our dive.
Slew of Foureye Butterflyfish, a Drum, Porcupinefish, tons of Parrots and Trumpetfish, etc.
