The staff at Aqua Safari convinced us early yesterday (before that amazing Paraiso dive) to give up our fast boat today, and instead go on a three-tank big boat dive. This would give us a different spot for our third dive instead of Paraiso (though had we known what Paraiso would be like...!)
Since there were only two people on the small boat left (our friends Tim and Dawn), they also had to join us. Fortunately, they were really good dives.
At Columbia, we saw two turtles, one really close-up, two more Spotted Eagle Rays in the distance, and a Nurse Shark hidden in the coral. Then at Dalila, two more Nurse Sharks that left their sleeping spots to swim away, plus several attempts at a good Banded Butterflyfish picture, and more turtles!
Serious current at Dalila - we were ducking below the coral heads,
and dropping to the soft sand, whenever one of us had to wait for the
other, or pause to frame a picture. Still, we prefer it that way -
talk about effortless diving!
