Oil Rig HI-389A, 2:09 PM - 6 July 2002

The infamous and always impressive deep-water oil rig HI (High Island) 389-A, in the protected area of the Banks. It wasn't as impressive as in past dives, but saw 2 large Orangespotted Filefish, Blue Angelfish, and there was moderate current to be dealt with. (Dragging a housed camera makes current a bit more exciting .)

Other divers saw a large Turtle. I was kicked and hit on the head during the exit by some of the newbie divers, while waiting on the sideline; they dislodged my mask but I didn't lose it, fortunately. We each took a slew of shots but Beth's were the ones noteworthy enough to post here.
